Entrepreneurial Role at Colombia Safe Travel

Job Description
As the founder and operator of Colombia Safe Travel, a travel agency and tour operator based in Santa Marta, I was responsible for promoting tourism in the Caribbean coast of Colombia. This project aimed to position Colombia as a prime tourist destination by offering tailored travel packages, transportation, accommodations, and unique experiences across different regions of the country.
- Company Creation: Developed the business plan, secured initial funding, and handled all legal and administrative tasks to establish the company.
- Product Development: Designed and curated diverse travel packages catering to various types of travelers, ensuring a wide range of options from adventure to leisure tours.
- Brand Development: Created the company’s brand identity, including logo design, marketing materials, and an online presence through a website and social media channels.
- Sales and Customer Service: Engaged with customers to understand their needs, provided customized travel solutions, and maintained strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Marketing and Promotion: Developed and executed marketing strategies to attract new customers, including online advertising, social media campaigns, and partnerships with local businesses.
- Tour Guide and Operations: Personally guided tours, managed logistics, and coordinated with local service providers to deliver high-quality experiences.
- Partnership Development: Established and maintained a strategic partnership with Euroflug Touristik, becoming a key supplier for their travel services.
Note: The project was concluded as I was heading to the ITB Berlin 2020 fair due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
